a) WordSENCE is dedicated to ensuring accuracy in all content. We scrutinize claims, question assumptions, and challenge conventional wisdom.

b) Commitment to due accuracy is fundamental to our reputation. Accuracy must be adequate and appropriate to the content, considering subject and nature.

c) Our output is well-sourced, evidence-based, and corroborated. We openly admit gaps in knowledge and avoid unfounded speculation.

d) Journalists never plagiarize or distort facts. Visual information is presented accurately.

e) Independent verification is sought for claims, especially from public officials. Unverifiable content is attributed.

f) WordSENCE stands by published information and corrects proven errors promptly, maintaining transparency.

WordSENCE acknowledges occasional errors and takes responsibility for correction:

Readers:

  1. Contact editor-in-chief Emilee Wentland at contactwordsence@gmail.com with “Correction Needed” in the subject.
  2. Include correction, issue date, where the error was seen, reader’s name, and contact information.
  3. Provide correct information and source if applicable.
  4. Response from the editor-in-chief is expected.

WordSENCE :

  1. Editor-in-chief investigates using provided information and sources.
  2. If an error is found, corrections are issued in print, online, and on social media.
  3. Print corrections on page 2A in the next issue.
  4. Online corrections include an editor’s note at the bottom of the article.
  5. Social media corrections link to the corrected article.
  6. The reader who submitted the correction is informed of the steps taken to rectify the error.
